Drug Investigation and Arrest in Laurel County

(LONDON, KY.) –- On Tuesday, January 17, 2012 officers from the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, investigated a complaint of possible drug activity at a residence on Cox Lane in Laurel County.
Upon arrival and investigation officers discovered 36 grams of Marijuana, 11 dosage units of Suboxone, 24 unidentified pills and paraphernalia used in the trafficking of controlled substances.
Arrested, at the residence, was Kayla D. Steely, 23, of London, charged with Trafficking in Marijuana, Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Controlled Substance Prescription not in Proper Container 1st.
Steely was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Trooper Ryan Loudermilk is in charge of the investigation and was assisted by Trooper Michelle Lundsford, Sergeant Lafe Owens, Detective Richie Baxter, Detective Parrish Baker and Trooper Jason McCowen.
