Date of News Release: 11/21/2012

(Middlesboro, Ky.) - On November 20, 2012 at approximately 0900 hours post 10, Harlan received a call from a Kentucky utilities worker in Bell County. The caller advised that he drove upon four men assaulting a male subject. The caller advised the men got in their vehicle and fled when he drove up. The victim, Thomas Dillman stated that a maroon Chevy cavalier approached him while he was using a payphone at the Binghamtown BP. The operator of the cavalier called the victim by name and asked if he wanted a ride. Dillman got into the vehicle, but instead of giving him a ride home they took him to Beans Fork, forced him out of the vehicle and began to assault him and rob him of approximately $200. Dillman advised two of the men were white and two were African American. One of the subjects was armed with a handgun. Det. Johnson responded and located the suspect vehicle at 1212 Exeter Ave. in Middlesboro. This case is still under investigation by Det. Johnson.
