Three People from Michigan Arrested on Drug Charges in Knox County

(Barbourville, Ky.) –- On May 3, 2012 at 12:20 a.m. Trooper Jake Wilson from Post 10 Harlan conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 25E in Barbourville. Doyle Crawford, 29, from Belleville, MI, was operating the vehicle, a 1997 Buick LeSabre. Upon Trooper's contact with the vehicle a strong odor of marijuana was detected. Mr. Crawford admitted to smoking marijuana and said there was marijuana under the driver seat. Trooper Wilson located the marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Mr. Crawford and two others in the vehicle had been smoking marijuana while riding in the car.
A three year old child was in the backseat. Trooper Wilson felt the marijuana was impairing the child.
EMS was called and checked the child and determined all the vitals on the child were okay.
Arrested at the scene were, Doyle Crawford, 29, from Belleville, MI, charged with DUI first, failure to wear a seatbelt, no insurance, possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a minor, trafficking in marijuana first offense, and drug paraphernalia.
Amber Crawford, 27, from Belleville, MI; charged with failure to wear seatbelt, possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a minor, trafficking marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and failure to use child restraint.
Alan Reinhackel, 40, from Wayne, MI, charged with failure to wear seatbelt, possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a minor, trafficking marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
All are lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
