Child abducted in Indiana located in Kentucky

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- On Thursday July 28, 2011 Post 9, Pikeville along with local Police received information that a child abducted in Indiana may be traveling through Post 9 District. Officers at Post 9 were given the information and began searching the area.

Sgt. Keith Justice of KSP division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement patrolled through the parking lot of the Brookshire Hotel and located a vehicle that matched the description given. Sgt. Justice notified Post 9 and KSP Captain Todd Kidd and Lieutenant Henry Banks responded to the location. Officers located the abducted four year old alive. The officers also located the alleged perpetrators Nicholas Runyon, 24 and April Bell, 28 both of Indiana. The alleged perpetrators were arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. This incident remains under investigation by Federal Bureau of Investigations. KSP officers were assisted on scene by Sgt. Aaron Thompson, Det. Phillip Reed and Officer Josh Lawson of Pikeville Police Department.
