Meth Lab Located in Fleming County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On Monday, December 26, 2011 at 6:09 p.m. Kentucky State Police Morehead along with the Fleming County Sheriff's Department received information from an anonymous subject stating that there was an active methamphetamine Lab at 3147 Mount Tabor Road in Fleming County. Trooper Eugene Robinson, Trooper Michael Fogleman, Trooper Gary Hall and Fleming County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the residence to conduct a knock-and-talk. While approaching the residence, the troopers and deputies noticed a suspicious odor coming from the residence. The owner of the residence gave the troopers and the Fleming County deputies consent to search the residence. After further investigation an active methamphetamine Lab was located.

Joshua R. Hope and John W. Shoemaker Jr. were both arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) and Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess. Mr. Hope and Mr. Shoemaker are both currently lodged at the Mason County Detention Center. Incident remains under investigation by Trooper Eugene Robinson.
