Post 8 arrest two on suspected methamphetamine

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On Monday, December 12, 2011, at 10:36 PM, Kentucky State Police Troopers Chris Jones and Trooper Jay Cottrell were on routine patrol on US 60 East in Rowan County. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a black 1994 Dodge pickup truck driven by Glenna Gilliam of Olive Hill, KY. While on the stop Troopers noticed trash bags in the bed of the truck filled with bottles that contained suspected Methamphetamine. Ms. Gilliam was taken into custody and charged with DUI 1st Offense, No Seat Belt, Manufacturing Meth 1st Offense, and Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor 1st Offense. William Tackett was the passenger in the vehicle he was also taken into custody and charged with Manufacturing Meth 1st Offense, Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor 1st Offense, and Carrying Concealed Weapon. Both subjects are lodged at the Rowan County Detention Center. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Jay Cottrell.
