Injury collision on KY 15 in Wolfe County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On December 8, 2011 at 6:01 p.m. Kentucky State Police Morehead received a call for service from Wolfe County Dispatch in reference to a two vehicle injury accident on KY 15 in Campton. Bryan Stevens was traveling south on KY 15 in a 1993 Toyota Corolla when a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Nancy Rose attempted to turn northbound onto KY 15. Ms. Rose began to turn onto KY 15 when she pulled into the path of Mr. Stevens. Mr. Stevens attempted to avoid the contact, striking Ms. Rose's vehicle in the passenger side front bumper. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. Ms. Rose was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY with non life-threatening injuries to her lower leg and chest. Mr. Stevens was transported by ambulance to the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY with non life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident. The accident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Morehead.
