Felony Drug Arrest in Morgan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On September 29, 2011 Kentucky State Police Morehead received a call from Licking Valley RECC of a potential theft of services complaint on M Whitt Road in Morgan County. The residence had an electric hook up that was not authorized by Licking Valley RECC. Trooper Mike McPherson and Trooper Royse Collett responded to the scene. Charles Lewis III was believed to be living at the residence and a warrant of arrest was on file through Morgan County. Upon arrival, Trooper McPherson located Mr. Lewis under the trailer and placed him under arrest. Upon further investigation, approximately 2 pounds of partially processed marijuana was found in the residence. Mr. Lewis has been charged with Trafficking in Marijuana (8 ounces to less than 5 pounds) and a Morgan County warrant service for Possession of Controlled Substance and has been lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Dentention Center in Paintsville, KY. Jonathan Hylton was located at the residence along with Mr. Lewis. Mr. Hylton was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant. The incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Morehead.
