Physical Abuse Arrest in Menifee County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On September 27, 2011 Kentucky State Police Morehead was notified by Saint Joseph East Hospital in Mount Sterling, KY of a 6 year old male juvenile that was brought into the emergency room with injuries to his chest, back, and ears. The juvenile had severe bruising on his abdomen, back, and earlobes. Trooper Michael Armstrong responded to the hospital and interviewed the juvenile. The juvenile advised that his foster father, Justin Bailey, grabbed his arm, ear, and then stepped on his stomach. Trooper Armstrong interviewed Mr. Bailey when he admitted to disciplining the child last date. Mr. Bailey's statements led to his arrest. Mr. Bailey has been charged with Criminal Abuse 1st Degree and is being lodged at the Woodford County Detention Center in Versailles, KY. The incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Morehead.
