Robbery 1st on Upper Lacy Creek Road in Wolfe County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, September 21st , 2011 Kentucky State Police received a call from Wolfe County Dispatch in reference to an assault that occurred on Upper Lacy Creek Road in Wolfe County. Trooper Joseph Veeneman responded to the scene. At approximately 7:30 p.m. Steven and Tiffany Halley arrived back at their residence on Upper Lacy Creek Road, as they were existing their vehicle they were approached by a male subject wearing a dark ski mask and dark clothing pointing a gun at them demanding they give him cash. Mr. and Ms. Halley advised him that they did not have any cash, at that time Mr. Halley attempted to punch the male subject, who instead struck Mr. Halley across the head with his gun. The male subject then demanded that Ms. Halley who was holding her baby to go inside her residence, he then jumped into their vehicle and proceeded north on Upper Lacy Creek Road. Mr. Halley received minor injury and refused medical treatment. The vehicle was later found abandoned in a barn off of Kentucky 1953 in Wolfe County. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6'2, medium build with shoulder length sandy blonde hair. He was wearing dark clothing and is considered to be armed and dangerous.
