Injury collision on I-64 in Montgomery County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On August 30, 2011 Kentucky State Police Morehead was notified by Montgomery County Dispatch in reference to an injury accident at the 106 mile marker on Interstate 64 in Montgomery County. A black Chevrolet Cavalier traveling eastbound struck a 1997 Ford truck driven by Robert Hudson of Mount Sterling, KY. After the initial contact, both vehicles traveled into the emergency lane on the eastbound side of the roadway. Two subjects, one male and one female, exited the Cavalier and fled on foot. Mr. Hudson sustained minor injuries to his back and was transported to Saint Joseph East Hospital in Mount Sterling, KY. Both Kentucky State Police Troopers and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department deputies were unable to locate the subjects that fled on foot. The incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Morehead.
