Injury collision on KY 519 in Morgan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On May 19, 2011 at 1:28 a.m, Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a call of single vehicle injury accident on Kentucky 519 in Morgan County. Trooper Charles Bolin responded to the scene. Kristen Lombardy was operating a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Northbound on Kentucky 519 when she pulled off the roadway onto the parking lot of Country side Foodmart. Ms. Lombardy was attempting to turn around in the parking lot when a deer ran out in front of her vehicle, she swerved to miss the deer striking a garbage dumpster in the parking lot. Morgan County Emergency Medical Services transported Ms. Lombardy to Saint Claire Medical Center for treatment. After further investigation it was found that Ms. Lombardy had outstanding warrants out of Morgan County. After Ms. Lombardy was treated and released. Trooper Jay Cottrell arrested Ms. Lombardy, she is currently lodged at the Rowan County Detention Center. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Charles Bolin.
