Injury collision on Ky 36 in Bath County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On January 23, 2011 at approximately 10:51 a.m. Jeremiah Johnson was driving west on Ky 36 when he failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled in front of Calista Flanders. Calista Flanders was driving her 1999 Chevy Blazer when she struck the 2002 Chevy Caviler that was being driven by Jeremiah Johnson. Calista Flanders was driving north on Ky 11 and was unable to avoid the collision. Trooper Michael Armstrong, Bath County Sheriff's Deputies, Bath County EMS, Sharpsburg Fire and Rescue, and Bethel Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. Jeremiah Johnson and his passengers: Jessica Parks, and 3 juveniles were all transported to Saint Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Ky. Jeremiah Johnson was later airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Ky. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Michael Armstrong.
