New Trooper Assigned to Post 7

Trooper Charles Brandenburg

(Richmond, KY) -- On Sunday, October 30,2011 60 new troopers graduated the Kentucky State Police Academy in Frankfort. Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, welcomes one new trooper from that class who will begin his assignment this week.

Trooper Charles Brandenburg, 26, is a native of Richmond, Kentucky and the son of Angie Brandenburg of Berea. Trooper Brandenburg is a graduate of Madison Central and will be assigned to the East Squad which is responsible for Estill, Lee, Owsley and Jackson Counties.

"I am excited to welcome Trooper Brandenburg to the Kentucky State Police Richmond Post. Based on his performance during academy training, I am confident he will serve the citizens of Kentucky and with honor and distinction." Captain Lisa Rudzinski, Richmond Post Commander

During the next 8 - 12 weeks, Trooper Brandenburg will be paired with a veteran trooper during a field training period. At the conclusion of the field training period, Trooper Brandenburg will be released to patrol his assigned area.
