Injury Collision on Ky 1295 in Madison County

(Richmond, KY) -- On October 20, 2011 at approximately 10:10 am EDT the Kentucky State Police Richmond Post received a call of a injury collision on Ky 1295 west of Richmond in Madison County.
A Toyota Corolla driven by Rodney Walker of Richmond was traveling west when the vehicles passenger side tires dropped off the roadway. The operator overcorrected which caused the rear of the vehicle to begin sliding. A Dodge Dakota driven by Vivian Means was traveling east on KY 1247. The Dodge struck the Toyota which was partially blocking the road. Rodney Walker suffered a laceration to his hand. A passenger in his vehicle Jenny Walker complained of chest and back pain.
Rodney and Jenny Walker were transported to the University of Kentucky by ground. Their condition is not known.
Vivian Means was not injured.
Both vehicles suffered severe damage.
Trooper Brian Bowman is investigating the collision.
