Post 7 Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign

(Richmond, KY)- The Kentucky State Police Richmond Post announces as part of the National "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" enforcement campaign there will be additional troopers on the roads and highways this weekend through September 5th.

Troopers from Richmond will be conducting Traffic Safety Checkpoints, Directed Patrol and Speed Details during this special enforcement period. Specifically, on Friday, August 26, 2011, troopers will be increasing patrols in Jessamine County in an effort to reduce crashes due to speeding, aggressive, and inattentive driving. As always troopers will enforce a zero tolerance on alcohol and drug impaired drivers.

The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Campaign will began at 0001 hours on Friday, August 19, 2011 and end at 2359 hours on Monday September 5, 2011.
