One killed & one injured in a collision on KY 3444

(Richmond, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision in Jackson County that has left one person dead and one injured. On Tuesday, March 1 at 12:14 p.m., Kimberly Durham, age 50 of McKee, was traveling south on KY 3444 in a 1987 Lincoln Town Car, when her vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic. The Durham vehicle struck a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban being operated by Karen Walden, age 49 of London. The front passenger of the Durham vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jackson County Coroner. The deceased is identified as 63-year old Earl Moore of McKee. Durham suffered multiple injuries and was flown to UK Medical Center. Walden and her juvenile passenger were checked for injuries by Jackson County EMS. They appeared uninjured and were not transported. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Jesse Armstrong.
