Injury collision on US 62

Date of News Release: 12/12/2011

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) - Roberto Lafollette was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger, and Wilson Williams driving a 2000 Ford Ranger were westbound on US 62. Mr. Williams was almost stopped and was attempting to make a left turn onto Clark School Road. Mr. Lafollette was traveling behind Mr. Williams and struck Mr. Williams' vehicle in the rear. Mr. Lafollette's vehicle traveled down an embankment and Mr. Williams' vehicle came to final rest in the roadway. Neither occupant in Mr. Williams' vehicle were injured. Both of them were wearing a seatbelt. Both occupants in Mr. Lafollette's vehicle suffered Class B injuries and were flown from the scene to U of L Hospital. Neither of them were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Unit 1 operator- Roberto Lafollette, white male, 19, from Eastview, KY Unit 1 passenger- 15 year old juvenile from Eastview, KY

Unit 2 operator-Wilson Williams, white male, 51 from Clarkson, KY Unit 2 passenger was uninjured.
