Injury collision on US 31E in Larue County

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) - On November 21, 2011, at 3:07 pm EST, the Kentucky State Police Post in Elizabethtown investigated an injury accident on US31E, 7 miles north of Hodgenville (Larue County). A 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, operated by Sharon D. Bush (age 56 of Elizabethtown, KY), was traveling north on US31E, when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle dropped off of the right shoulder of the roadway. Bush overcorrected left, lost control of her vehicle, and crossed the center line, striking a 2003 Ford Explorer, operated by Felipe Ramirez (age 21 of Hodgenville, KY), head-on. Sharon Bush suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to HardinMemorial Hospital by Larue County EMS. Felipe Ramirez also suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to University of Louisville Hospital by LarueCounty EMS. The investigation into this accident is ongoing.
