Two injured in a two vehicle collision on I-65

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) - On July 5, 2011 at 10:01 PM Eastern Time, Kentucky State Police Post 4 responded to a report of an injury accident 2 miles south of Glendale on Interstate 65. Upon arrival units found a black 2010 Ford Fusion being driven by a Darrin Henderberg age 34, of Hermitage, TN had struck the rear of a 2006 Freightliner which was being towed by a 1999 Volvo wrecker, being operated by a Larry Reynolds age 65 of Ashville, AL. Mr. Henderberg as well as his wife Bethany Henderberg, age 35, where air lifted to University Hospital in Louisville where they are both currently listed in critical condition. Two children in the Henderberg vehicle were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Mr. Reynolds did not sustain any injuries. Units where assisted on scene by Hardin county EMS, Glendale Fire Department, Elizabethtown Fire Department, and Air Methods Air Ambulance Service. Officer Jason Morris, Kentucky State Police, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement is investigating the accident.
