Inmate's attorney arrested on drug charges

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) –- At the request of the Bullitt County Detention Center the Kentucky State Police was asked to investigate an alleged promoting contraband violation. The jail staff recovered a syringe that had allegedly been smuggled into the jail by way of an inmate's attorney. While interviews were being conducted, the suspect, Michael S. Wade, 31, of Louisville, Ky., arrived at the jail to meet with his client. Mr. Wade was searched and items of contraband were located. As a result, Mr. Wade was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense- Heroine, Promoting Contraband 1st Degree, and Promoting Contraband 2nd Degree. He was lodged in the Bullitt County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
