Two killed & one injured in a single vehicle collision

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) –- At 1450 hours, Kentucky State Police Post 04, received a 911 call advising a 2002 Chrysler 300M was traveling eastbound on Western Kentucky Parkway, when for unknown reasons it left the left side of the roadway entering the median. The driver, Rose M. Davis, age 56, of Cincinnati, Ohio, overcorrected, re-entered the roadway, crossed both eastbound lanes, and exited again on the right shoulder striking a tree. Upon Trooper Adams arrival, the front seat passenger, Marion A. Petrie, age 80, of Fairview, Kentucky, and rear seat passenger, Yolanda Davis, age 38, of Cincinnati, Ohio, were found to be deceased from injuries sustained in the collision. Rose Davis sustained serious injuries and was flown to University of Louisville Hospital by Airmethod's Transportation. Kentucky State Police was assisted by Airmethod's Transportation, Central Hardin Fire Department, Hardin County EMS and Hardin County Coroner's Office. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Rose Davis and Yolanda Davis were wearing seatbelts, while Marion Petrie was not. Collision is still under investigation by Trooper Adams.
