Three former deputy jailers were indicted by the Larue County Grand Jury

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) - On February 21, 2011, three former deputy jailers were indicted by the Larue County Grand Jury of charges as a result of a seven month investigation. Travis Strader, 39 years of age, of Sonora, KY, was indicted for Promoting Contraband, 1st and 2nd degree, Sexual Abuse 2nd, Official Misconduct, 1st degree, and indecent exposure, 2nd degree. Harold Marcum, 66 years of age, of Magonolia, KY was indicted on Sexual Abuse 1st and 2nd degree, Promoting Contraband 2nd, Official Misconduct 1st degree, Josh Robinson, 31 years of age, of Buffalo, was charged with Promoting Contraband, 1st and 2nd degree. The charges stem from incidents that occurred at the Larue County Jail while they were employed there as deputy jailers. The investigation revealed that the individuals were exchanging contraband including drugs and tobacco products for sexual favors. Detective Larry Walker with the Kentucky State Police conducted the investigation.
