Felony arrest in Hart County

Date of News Release: 11/29/2011

(Bowling Green, Ky.) - On November 26, 2011 at 9:54 pm Kentucky State Police Post 03 responded to 2684 Flint Ridge Road in Horse Cave in an attempt to serve warrants on Donald and Mary Hornback.

When Troopers Jeremy Smith, Graham Rutherford, and Justin Roundtree arrived at this residence contact was made with Donald and Mary Hornback.

Once the Troopers entered the residence a complete unfiltered meth lab was discovered along with several meth precursors and drug paraphernalia were located inside the residence.

There was also a juvenile located inside the residence when the Kentucky State Police arrived.

Donald Hornback (50) of Horse Cave, KY was arrested and lodged in the Hart County Jail on the following charges: Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd offense, Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursors, Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child I, and Persistent Felony Offender I.

Mary Hornback (41) of Horse Cave, KY was arrested and lodged in the Hart County Jail on the following charged : Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense, Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursors, Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child I and Persistent Felony Offender I.

The Kentucky State Police was assisted by DESI West in the cleanup and removal of the lab.

Trooper Justin Roundtree is the lead investigator in this case.

The investigation is still ongoing.
