Injury collision on Lonoke Road in Hart County

Date of News Release: 11/15/2011

(Bowling Green, Ky.) - On November 14, 2011 at approximately 7:04 PM Kentucky State Police Post 03 was notified of a two vehicle injury collision on Lonoke Road in Hart County.

Troopers Timmy Jewell, BJ Eaton, and Justin Rountree responded to the scene which was approximately 1 1/2 miles south of 31W.

When Troopers arrived at the scene it was discovered that a black 2002 Toyota Camry being operated by Tara L. Perkins of Owenton, KY had collided with a black 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier being operated by Lottie V. Martin of Bonneville, KY.

Preliminary evidence gathered at the scene indicates that Mrs. Perkins was traveling Southbound on Lonoke Road when she crossed into the lane of travel of Mrs. Martin. Information gathered from witnesses at the scene indicates that a deer crossing the road may have been a factor in this collision.

Mrs. Martin was air lifted to Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville where she is currently listed as critical but stable condition.

Mrs. Perkins was air lifted to UK hospital in Lexington and is currently listed in serious condition.

The Kentucky State Police was at the scene by Hart county EMS, Hart County Sheriff's Department, and Munfordville Fire Department.
