One injured a single vehicle collision on Russellville Road in Warren County

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- On Thursday, July 7, 2011, at 6:45 a.m, Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call for service regarding an injury collision on Russellville Road in Warren County, Kentucky.

Joshua Thomas (22) of Bowling Green was traveling east on Russellville Road when his 2000 Jeep Cherokee ran off the right hand shoulder of the roadway onto an embankment. Thomas continued to travel east along the embankment and then onto private property and struck a utility pole.

Thomas was taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green and was later flown to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

The investigation of the collision is ongoing and is being led by Trooper First Class Tomie Walters. Trooper Walters was assisted on scene by Master Trooper Terry Alexander, Warren County Sheriff's Office, Medcom, Browing and Bowling Green Fire Departments, Warren Country Rural Electric and Air Evac.
