Arrest warrant served on Christian County Deputy

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Sergeant Jason Newby has been investigating an assault complaint involving Sidney A. Faulkner and Christian County Sheriff's Deputy Kent Roberts. On December 23rd, 2011 Sergeant Newby obtained warrants for Mr. Faulkner and Deputy Roberts. At approximately 10:30 A.M Sergeant Newby arrested Deputy Roberts for Assault 4th (Minor Injury) and Official Misconduct 1st Degree. Deputy Roberts was arrested at his residence without incident and lodged in the Christian County Jail. The investigation stems from an alleged assault which occurred on November 26, 2011. Deputy Roberts, who was off duty at the time of the incident but was operating his cruiser, was accompanied by Mr. Faulkner.

At approximately 5:22pm, Mr. Sidney A. Faulkner turned himself in at the Christian County Jail. Mr. Faulkner has been charged with Assault 4th Degree (Minor Injury).
