KSP Post 2 Trooper Honored At Awards Ceremony

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Thursday, December 8, 2011, the Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards Ceremony was held at the Embassy Suites on Newtown Pike in Lexington, KY. Law enforcement officers, agencies, and individuals from across the state were recognized for their outstanding achievements.

Trooper Jeff Ayres from the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville was recognized at this ceremony for his outstanding job performance. For the DUI enforcement period, which ran from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011, Trooper Ayres arrested 84 impaired drivers.

Trooper Ayres is a native of Walnut Creek, California. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. He retired from the military on August 31, 2007 and began his career with the Kentucky State Police in September of 2007. He is currently assigned to Todd County.
