Horses on the Pennyrile Parkway cause a accident

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Kayla Flint was traveling North on the Pennyrile Parkway when a horse walked into her path. Ms. Flint was unable to avoid the horse and struck it causing severe damage to the vehicle and killing the horse. Ms. Flint, and her passenger, Ms. Gorrell sustained minor injuries but declined an ambulance. There were also four other horses on the Pennyrile Parkway, other than the one that was struck by Ms. Flint. One of other four horses was also struck, in a separate collision, and had to be euthanasia at the scene because of the severity of its injuries. The other three horses were safely removed from the scene and are currently being taken care of until the owner can be located. The Kentucky State Police is asking anyone with information that may help locate the owner of the horses to call Post 2 Madisonville at 270-676-3313 or 1-800-222-5555.
