One injured in a single vehicle collision on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Pamela W. Crick, age 64 of White Plains, KY, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox LT southbound on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway at approximately the 34 mile-marker when it appears that she fell asleep. The vehicle traveled into the median striking the earth embankment. It continued a short distance in the median before stopping. The vehicle came to rest in the median. Ms. Crick was transported via ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt. Trooper First Class John Komar investigated the crash that occurred on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 7:35 a.m. The South Hopkins Fire Department, the Nortonville Fire Department, and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
