One injured in a two car collision on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Taylor Graham, age 19 of Crossville, TN, was operating a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 southbound on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway between the 9 and 10 mile-marker. Traffic was slowing due to another non-injury crash on the parkway. Cilia Williams, age 27 of Hopkinsville, KY, had stopped her vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, in the median to assist. Mr. Graham could not stop in time and swerved into the median to avoid the previous crash. In doing so, his vehicle struck Ms. Williams' parked vehicle in the median. Mr. Graham and his passenger, Pete Graham, age 66 of Crossville, TN, were not injured. Ms. Williams was transported by a private vehicle to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Trooper Luis Palmer investigated the crash that occurred on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at approximately 10:00 a.m. Trooper Mike Manzanares and Christian County Rescue/EMS assisted at the scene.
