5 people injured in a two car collision on Hunt Road

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- James Langley, age 45 of Greenville, KY, was operating a 2007 Ford Taurus northbound on Hunt Road. Dorothy Howton, age 47 of Princeton, KY, was operating a 2007 Mercury Milan southbound on Hunt Road. The two vehicles met in a curve on the roadway and struck head-on. Mr. Langley was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Ms. Howton and one of her passengers, Karon Brown, age 53 of Beech Creek, KY, were transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Ms. Howton's other two passengers, Kaleb Groves, age 6 of Princeton, KY and Rebecca Mallory, age 19 of Fredonia, KY, were transported by a private vehicle to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. All subjects involved were wearing seatbelts. Trooper Brandon McPherson investigated the crash that occurred on Monday, May 30, 2011 at approximately 11:55 a.m. Trooper Craig Engler, the Dunmor Volunteer Fire Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
