KSP is investigating the theft of a large amount of copper cable

Dawson Springs, KY (Hopkins County) -- The Kentucky State Police is currently investigating the theft of a large amount of copper cable from the Dawson Springs area. MEMSCO (Mine Equipment & Mill Supply Company) located on Mine Equipment Road reported the theft of 11 spools of heavy, copper cable from their location. The theft occurred between February 25 and March 4, 2011. It appears that the suspects may have traveled on Jimmy Lovell Road to remove the stolen, copper cable. The approximate value of the stolen, copper cable is $60,000.
