One Killed in a Collision on Childress Road in West Paducah

(Hickory, Ky.) -- Vehicle operated by Teri Rynearson was traveling west on Childress Road in West Paducah. When reaching the crest of a hill, located in front of the residence at 9115 Childress Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then exited the roadway off the north shoulder, striking a ditch that ran perpendicular to the roadway. The vehicle then continued to travel alongside of Childress Road, striking a utility pole and ejecting Jacob Rynearson, who was unrestrained in the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle came to final rest in a field just west of the residence located at 9123 Childress Road. Jacob Rynearson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the McCracken County Coroner. Other occupants of the vehicle were transported by Mercy Regional EMS for possible injuries, where they were treated and released. KSP was assisted by McCracken County Sheriff Department, McCracken County Disaster Emergency Services, and McCracken County Coroner. Investigation is continuing by Trooper Brad Ramsey.
