(Cadiz, Ky.) -- At 12:11 pm Kentucky State Police arrived on the scene of a two vehicle collision in Cadiz at the intersection of US 68 and the US 68 Business Loop. Upon investigation, it was determined Ronda Lenton, 28, of Murray was operating her 1994 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on US 68 accompanied by a female passenger, Andrea Hite, 32, of Hazel. Mr. Bernard Eagan, 42, of Whitehall, NY was operating a 2006 model Peterbilt behind Ms. Lenton also eastbound on US 68. Mr. Eagan was unable to avoid the collision and hit Ms. Lenton's vehicle in the passenger side.
Ms. Lenton's vehicle overturned as a result of the impact and Ms. Hite, was ejected. Both Ms. Lenton and Mr. Eagan were extricated from their vehicles. Ms. Lenton was airlifted to Vanderbilt where she is in critical condition. Mr. Eagan was transported by Trigg EMS to Trigg County Hospital where he was treated and released. Ms. Hite was also transported to Trigg County Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Mr. Eagan was cited for being too wide and too long to be operating on US 68.
