KSP Apprehend Armed Robbery Suspects in Fulton

(Fulton, Ky.) -- At 09:33 on May 4, 2011 Kentucky State Police was notified by the Fulton Police Department of an armed robbery that occurred at Cash Express in South Fulton TN. Trooper Michael Cook, while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle fitting the description given by Tennessee authorities. Trooper Cook initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at which point one of the passengers fled on foot into a nearby apartment. He later turned himself in. The driver and two other occupants remained in the vehicle. State Police detained the individuals in order for South Fulton, TN police officers to identify the robbery suspects. Once on scene, Tennessee officials positively identified the vehicle and occupants as being involved in the robbery. Kentucky State Police and Fulton Police Officers subsequently located marijuana, crack cocaine and a firearm in the vehicle. The firearm was also positively identified as the weapon that was used in the South Fulton robbery. Trooper Cook charged Christopher C. Brown, 19-years-old of Fulton KY with Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense and Possession of Marijuana. Fulton Police served arrest warrants on all occupants relating to the robbery in South Fulton, Tennessee. South Fulton Police Department and Fulton Police Department assisted Kentucky State Police on the traffic stop. Further investigation is pending by the South Fulton Police Department.
