Skeletal remains identified

(McCracken County, Ky.) -- The skeletal remains have been positively identified as Roger S. Norton (46) of Marshall County, by the State Medical Examiner's Office, through dental records. Mr. Norton was reported as missing in February 2010 to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department. The investigation is continuing by Detective Steve Silfies of the Kentucky State Police.

Human Remains Located in McCracken County

(McCracken County, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Detectives are investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains located on April 16th near Paducah. Turkey hunters located the remains in a heavily wooded area off of Bryant Ford road in southern McCracken County on Saturday afternoon. Coroners from Graves, Marshall, and McCracken counties assisted the State Police and Marshall County Sheriff's Office at the scene on Sunday. At this time, it has been confirmed that the remains are human; however, positive identification has not been made. The remains are scheduled to be examined by the State Medical Examiners office in Madisonville on Tuesday. More will follow pending the results of that examination. The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
