Human Remains Located in McCracken County

(McCracken County, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Detectives are investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains located on April 16th near Paducah. Turkey hunters located the remains in a heavily wooded area off of Bryant Ford road in southern McCracken County on Saturday afternoon. Coroners from Graves, Marshall, and McCracken counties assisted the State Police and Marshall County Sheriff's Office at the scene on Sunday. At this time, it has been confirmed that the remains are human; however, positive identification has not been made. The remains are scheduled to be examined by the State Medical Examiners office in Madisonville on Tuesday. More will follow pending the results of that examination. The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
