Hickory Man Arrested for Leaving the Scene of a Collision

(Mayfield, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police arrested a Hickory man after he fled the scene of a two vehicle collision in Graves County on Thursday night. At approximately 11:30 PM on March 31st, Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle collision on US Highway 45 North near Jimtown Road. Upon the arrival of Troopers, the driver of one of the vehicles had fled into the Mayfield Mobile Home Park. While investigating the vehicle collision, information was received that the driver was in the back bedroom of a trailer on Dorothy Lane. Troopers were permitted to search the trailer where they located 33-year-old, Russell Davidson. Davidson had physical injuries consistent with being in a vehicle collision and was identified as the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the earlier collision. Troopers arrested Davidson and charged him with DUI 3rd, Resisting Arrest, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, No Insurance, Criminal Trespass 1st Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Driving on a DUI Suspended License. Davidson was lodged in the Graves County Jail. The investigation and arrest was conducted by Trooper Randy Chambers with the Kentucky State Police.
