(Murray, Ky.) -- Narcotics detectives from Kentucky State Police Post 1 and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force have arrested a Murray State University (MSU) student following a lengthy investigation into the alleged trafficking of large amounts of marijuana on the MSU campus.
Detectives arrested Kenneth Flintroy Jr, 22 years of age, from Louisville, charging him with three (3) counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance within 1000 yards of a school, and three (3) counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after officers witnessed him selling several ounces of marijuana to another student, in a parking lot near Richmond Hall, on this date.
A subsequent search, following the arrest of Flintroy, led to the seizure of an additional large amount of marijuana and digital scales from Flintroy's dormitory room on the MSU campus.
Flintroy was taken into custody and lodged in the Calloway County Jail. The arrest is a culmination of several months of investigation by Kentucky State Police and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force involving allegations of students trafficking in controlled substances on and around the MSU campus. As of this date KSP detectives have seized a significant amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a vehicle used in the commission of these crimes. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police, and detectives expect additional charges, and other arrests are pending.
