KSP Investigating Burglary of Three Mayfield Businesses

Date of News Release: 02/25/2011

(Mayfield, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating three overnight burglaries of businesses located north of Mayfield in Graves County. The first occurred late Thursday night at the Dinner Bell restaurant on Highway 45 North. Troopers responded to the restaurant just before 11:00 PM on Thursday after a local resident noticed the business's front window broken. Cash was taken from the business. No one has been charged in the burglary.

Two other businesses, located just south of the Dinner Bell on Highway 45, were also reported burglarized. Shortly after 7:00 AM on Friday morning, Purchase Ford and Shelby Automotive were discovered to be burglarized after employees arrived to begin their day. Both car dealerships had similar signs of forced entry through rear and side doors. Cash was taken from one of the businesses. Each of the three targeted businesses sustained severe damage as a result of the break-ins.

Kentucky State Police are asking for the assistance of the public to help solve this string of burglaries.
