Graves County non-injury accident on KY 339

(Fancy Farm, Ky.) -- At 0930 hours Kentucky State Police were notified of an overturned tractor-trailer about 1 1/2 miles south of Fancy Farm on KY 339. Upon arrival Kentucky State Police determined that Keith Rangel was driving a 1995 Peterbilt north on KY 339 when for unknown reasons he allowed the trailer to drop off the right shoulder. Due to the size and weight of the vehicle the trailer continued off the roadway eventually causing the truck to come off the road as well before turning over onto its passenger side. Mr. Rangel was not injured, but KY 339 was closed for approximately five hours at the accident scene as worker's removed cattle. Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, and the Fancy Farm Volunteer Fire Department, as well as numerous residents assisting in corralling cattle. The investigation is ongoing by Tpr. Thomas Clifton.
