Date of News Release: 10/10/2011

Post 16 Trooper Island Golf Scramble Winners

(Henderson, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 16's Trooper Island Golf Scramble was held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Panther Creek Golf Course in Daviess County. The beautiful weather brought in golfers to help raise money for Trooper Island Boy's and Girl's camp located at Dale Hollow State Park.

This year's winning team was Team Parker:

  1. Larry Parker of Owensboro
  2. Wayne Bellamy of Owensboro
  3. Bill Cameron of Owensboro
  4. Steve Lively of Owensboro

Trooper Island Camp was developed by the Kentucky State Police as part of a long range program of public service to the youth of Kentucky: a place where the tensions and turmoil of our everyday lives can be forgotten; and for one week young people can be given a touch of hope and desire of a better tomorrow.

Over 800 area children are able to attend thanks to our many sponsors, golfers and vendors.

Congratulations to Team Parker and thanks to all who helped to make this year's scramble a success!
