Injury collision on Rucker Road One in Henderson County

(Henderson, Ky.) -- Robert Collins was operating a yellow 2002 Chevy Cavalier traveling southbound on Rucker Road One when his vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Collins overcorrected causing him to collide with a red 2011 BMW being driven by Jeffrey Busby traveling northbound on Rucker Road One. Mr. Busby was able to pull safely off the roadway. Mr. Collins' vehicle went back off the right side of the roadway where he overcorrected again. He then traveled back across both lanes, and off the left side of the roadway where he struck a telephone pole and overturned. Mr. Collins then traveled back onto the roadway where he came to final rest in the southbound lanes. Robert Collins was extricated from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life. William K. Miller was removed from the vehicle by Henderson County EMS. Robert Collins and Daniel Collins were transported by ambulance to Henderson Methodist Hospital. Robert Collins is being held for observation and Daniel Collins was treated and released. Mr. Miller was transported by Air EVAC to Deaconess Hospital, in Evansville, Indiana where he is listed as critical condition. The accident is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
