Update: Cultivating Marijuana more than 5 plants investigation

(Henderson, KY.) -- On Tuesday, May 10, 2011, the Kentucky State Police charged Jeff Baker Jr. with an additional count of Burglary 3rd Degree. It was determined Baker broke into Stones Veterinary Clinic and stole items ranging from Frontline bug and tick treatment to electronic animal control devices.

KSP received an alarm call from the clinic on January 30, 2011 at 11:19pm. When the responding trooper arrived he discovered a window was broke out due to forced entry.

Baker was lodged in the Union County Detention Center.

Cultivating Marijuana more than 5 plants investigation

(Henderson, KY.) -- On Monday, May 9, 2011, members of the Kentucky State Police received a tip from a concerned citizen that illegal drug activity was taking place on Wagner Court at the residence of Jeff Baker, Jr. Upon further investigation, detectives located approximately 400 marijuana plants in the early stage of growth. Also located at the scene were various types of items used in the process of growing marijuana along with 2 firearms. New information involving a burglary at Stones Vet Clinic in Sturgis, KY was also received during the drug investigation. The Kentucky State Police is also investigating the burglary and charges are pending at this time.

Jeffrey Cleveland Baker Jr., 24 years of age from Sturgis, KY was arrested and charged with Cultivating Marijuana, More than 5 plants, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
