Cultivating Marijuana more than 5 plants investigation

(Frankfort, KY.) -- On Monday, May 9, 2011, members of the Kentucky State Police received a tip from a concerned citizen that illegal drug activity was taking place on Wagner Court at the residence of Jeff Baker, Jr. Upon further investigation, detectives located approximately 400 marijuana plants in the early stage of growth. Also located at the scene were various types of items used in the process of growing marijuana along with 2 firearms. New information involving a burglary at Stones Vet Clinic in Sturgis, KY was also received during the drug investigation. The Kentucky State Police is also investigating the burglary and charges are pending at this time.

Jeffrey Cleveland Baker Jr., 24 years of age from Sturgis, KY was arrested and charged with Cultivating Marijuana, More than 5 plants, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
