One injured in a single vehicle collision on St Rt 492

(Henderson, Ky.) -- James L. Carmon, age 63 of Sturgis, was traveling east on St Rt 492 when, for an unknown reason, his 1995 Chevy Silverado left the right side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled approximately 108 ft after leaving the roadway until it struck an embankment where it came to final rest. Mr. Carmon was removed from the vehicle by the Sturgis fire and rescue squad. He was then transported by Union County EMS to the Dodge Hill Mine near Sturgis. Mr. Carmon was then flown by helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN where he is currently listed in stable condition.
