Clinton County pursuit ends with multiple arrests

Columbia, Ky. - (Saturday, November 19th) -- Kentucky State Police, Post 15 received a call from the Clinton County dispatch at 8:48 CST and were requested to observe for a Gray 4-door Pontiac involved in an armed robbery in the city limits of Monticello, KY. Trooper Tony Wells observed the vehicle traveling east on KY 0090 at a high rate of speed. Tpr. Wells initiated a traffic stop which led to the discovery of a handgun, a mask and a large sum of cash inside the vehicle. The vehicle was found to have been stolen from Pulaski County. Investigators from Monticello responded to the scene and identified the two subjects as the robbery suspects.

30-year-old Alphonso Duncan Jr. of Somerset was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000.00, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon and Speeding. 32-year-old Patrick Stewart of Columbia was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000.00 and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon. Both accused were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. KY Department of Fish & Wildlife, Cumberland County Sheriff's Department and Burkesville City Police also assisted.
