KSP is currently investigating fatal collision in Adair County

(Columbia, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police received a complaint of a two vehicle collison at approximately 1:13 CST today, September 1, 2011. The collision ocurred 7 miles west of Columbia in Adair County at the 42 mile marker on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway. The collision ocurred when an eastbound 2001 Chevy operated by 22-year-old Donnie Crosslin Jr. of Mt. Juliet, TN crossed the median and collided head-on with a westbound 2003 Freighliner Tanker. The tanker was operated by 45-year-old Gina T Hammer of Glasgow, KY.

Crosslin was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Coroner while Hammer was not injured. Crosslin had a history of Epileptic Seizures and was prescribed several medications. An autopsy will be performed at the State Medical Examiner's office on September 2nd. Both operator's were belted. KSP Troopers and CVE units were assisted at the scene by the State Highway Department, Adair County Coroner, Adair County EMS, Adair County Fire and Rescue and the Adair County Sheriff's Office.
