Clinton County Murder Investigation

(Albany, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 15 responded to 76 Falls Road at 10:26 PM in Clinton County in regards to a shooting complaint. Through investigation it was discovered that James Dyer (age 30) of Albany, KY had been in an altercation with Anthony Troxel (age 35 ) of Albany, KY, and during the struggle Dyer was shot by Troxel. Dyer was transported to the Clinton County Hospital, where he later succumbed to the injuries suffered from the gunshot wound. An autopsy is scheduled for August 1, 2011. As a result of the investigation, Troxel was charged with murder and lodged in the Clinton County Jail. The investigation is ongoing by Detective BJ Burton. Det. Burton was assisted at the scene by the Clinton County Sheriffs Department, Clinton County Coroner, and Clinton County EMS.
